Unit 7 : Health - Under the weather

I wasn’t feeling well. Maybe something I ate didn’t agree with me. Maybe the flu was going around. I wasn’t at death’s door, but I was definitely not up to par. So I went to see the doctor.

“There is nothing wrong with you,” the doctor said. He gave me a clean bill of health. But I knew he was wrong.

I got home and called a friend. “OK. What are your symptoms?” she asked.

“I’m really tired. I’ve got bags under my eyes.”

“I think you’re just tired, and work is stressing you out,” said my friend. “You need a vocation. It will do you a world of good.”
